• Lobbied Ministers of Tourism, State Owned Enterprises and Ministry for the Environment, Environment Waikato, Taupo District Council, Environment Waikato Advisory Committee for the Regional Environment and Opposition Spokesman for Biosecurity

• Environment Waikato (EW) River Management Plan operating with regular on-site inspection
• EW Catchment Management Plan in final stages of development
• In line with the Conservation Act 1988, Department of Conservation leaders in, (i) maintaining a full scientific description of the fishery and in (ii) proactively managing river nursery and the restoration of the Tongariro River back to 1960-1980s status.
